Overwhelming success, the call of the marsh and Southern hospitality have compelled the legendary jazz guitarist Earl Klugh to bring his act once again from Colorado to Kiawah Island Nov. 10-12 for his Weekend of Jazz.

At about this time last year, Klugh and his crew of stellar musicians rolled into the area and turned things upside down with a weekend of various styles of jazz music that had something for everyone.

On the bill were contemporary stalwarts such as Bob James, Kyle Eastwood, Chuck Leob, Nathan East and Harvey Mason.

This year’s lineup includes alto saxophonist Mindi Abair, who performed a cameo last year, with keyboardist and trombonist Brian Culbertson at 7 p.m. Nov. 11, and Klugh and Chaka Khan at 4 p.m. Nov. 12.

Call 800-654-2924 for tickets. They are $59 plus tax for Friday or Saturday. Tickets are $99 plus tax for a two-day combo.

Two- and three-night packages for The Sanctuary also are available…..
