CMH is divided into 3 seating sections, tiered in price. Named after the famous New York jazz clubs, the sections are labeled Vanguard, Savoy and Birdland, ranging from most expensive to least expensive, respectively.

VANGUARD – Sections A, B, H
SAVOY – Sections C, E, G, I
BIRDLAND – Sections C-Rear, D-Rear, E-Rear, H-Rear, F, J

SET 1 – 5PM
SET 2 – 8PM

Each set is a separate ticketed event.
Doors open 1 hour prior to show.
90 minute sets with no intermission.


You bet! Here’s a hint, your seat number should be located under your left elbow once you’ve taken your seat. Look up your seats before the show with the CMH Seat Map.


Set 2 will sell out quickly! However, if the performance is not sold out, tickets will be available at the door on the night of the performance. The JAC box Office opens at 12 p.m. on the day of the show at the Charleston Music Hall. However, we recommend you buy tickets ahead of time to secure your seats!

There are several parking garages located within walking distance of the Charleston Music Hall. Street parking is also available on surrounding streets.

Yes, the Charleston Music Hall is handicap accessible on the first floor of the venue. There are designated seats for wheel chairs, and companion seats are available upon request. There is no elevator in the Charleston Music Hall. Please let us know if you will need handicap assistance at time of ticket purchase.

Typical dress is anywhere from casual to semi-formal. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself, so come how you are!

In our house we only have a few rules to keep the night swingin’! Turn off your electronic devices, respect your neighbors and surroundings, and have a great time!

Enjoy your experience without distraction and leave it to the pros! Audio, video or photographic recording of any kind are not permitted.

CJO performances run for approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

Yes, there is wine, beer and bottled water for sale in the lobby. Take it to your seat; we encourage it! This is jazz after all!
